Recycling is a great way to get rid of bottles, glass and tin cans without putting them into the local town dump. Plastic, in particular, takes a very long time to decompose to where it is no longer a threat to the amount of garbage in the dump. If there is no recycling available in the town you are living in, you still have a few different options available to you. One would be to look at nearby towns and to see if they have recycling centers available to those who do not live directly in the area.
If you get garbage pickup, there is a good chance that you will also be able to have your recycling picked up by the company that does the garbage. Be sure to contact the company to find out what types of deals they offer when it comes to picking up your recycling. Just because there are no recycling centers in your town does not mean that you should just give up on recycling your used bottles and tins. There are many recycling centers in neighboring towns where you live that will be more than happy to take the bottles and cans from you.
